Wedding Web Site Spreads the Celebration Worldwide

For Immediate Release - Olmsted Falls, OH - Dec. 31, 1999

Mark Madere of SpectraLight Photography & Design has found an innovative way for newlyweds to show-off their wedding photos to family and friends - anywhere in the world and without leaving their homes. By entering a password at the SpectraLight web site, anyone can view the newlywed's photos from the convenience of their home computer. SpectraLight is the only studio in Northeast Ohio offering this service.

About three weeks after the wedding, a web page of all the wedding photos is posted to the Internet for online viewing. To inform the wedding guests of this, a display card featuring SpectraLight's web address, www.spectralight.com, is placed next to the guest book at the reception. Guests are invited to view the couple's wedding photos online, and if they wish, they may order photographs for themselves.

"One of the biggest hassles a bride has is having to show everyone her pictures, take their orders, ask for money and distribute them once they come in," says Mark. "Our online service eliminates that, saving the couple time and money."

Newlyweds Kirsten and Matt Rowe chose the online service because her parents and relatives live out West. "They were very excited to see my wedding pictures on the Internet so soon after the wedding," says Kirsten. "And from their home computers, they could place their orders and get them much sooner than they could have by ordering through us."

Mark utilizes the best in technology off-line as well. He helps couples design the wedding album of their dreams on a computer in the studio. The electronic process replaces one that often took hours to accomplish manually.

In his career, Mark has photographed hundreds of weddings as well as thousands of high school seniors and on-location family portraits. He was a medical and public relations photographer at Fairview General Hospital for five years and he has done photojournalism for the Associated Press and United Press International. He teaches and lectures in his field and has won numerous awards for his work.
